I have an addiction to all Fantasy and Smut books thanks to Sam. She introduced me to A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas buy buying the book for me and shipping it to my house. I then proceeded to read the entire series in a months time, and then barreled through Crescent City. Once Sam completed Crescent City we decided we couldn't stop talking about these books. We spent 4 hours in a Panera Bread planning out our book club podcast, and Valkyries and Vinos was born. 

Sam and I hope that we provide an outlet for book lovers to listen to the discussion and just feel like you're at a book club with friends enjoying your favorite beverage (hopefully Vino). We look forward to covering many different Fantasy Series on this show, and we hope you enjoy the crazy ride! 

During the winter of 2021, the "book fairy" (aka, my friend Jacqui) sent me the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas, so she could have someone just as obsessed as she was.  The next few weeks were followed by texts like, "OMG Tamlin!" and very quickly turned into "Oh great, Tamllin showed up to ruin everyone's good time." 

I sent the first book to Emily 2 months later. Once we completed ACOTAR and Crescent City, we began texting each other multiple times a day to discuss what we read, theories, etc.  We jokingly said, "Let's start a podcast so we can have an excuse to get together to talk fantasy worlds."

Less than a week later, we meet at Panera and the rest is history! We hope that listening to our explicit content, drinking vino with us and listening to our thoughts and opinions brings you the most joy.
